A thought for the day: how do you feel about yourself? Really. Have you ever stopped to think about it?
Are you loving and understanding when you ‘talk’ to yourself? Are you patient and forgiving? Many, many of us aren’t.

Are you loving and understanding when you ‘talk’ to yourself? Are you patient and forgiving? Many, many of us aren’t.
Many people go through life believing that they have little or no control over the events that happen in their life experience. They believe that things happen ‘to’ them; that it is always the fault of people ‘out there’. This is an incredibly negative way to live and leaves one with a feeling of powerlessness.
There are many, many authors out there that tell us that the way in which we look at our life experiences is a choice. It is a choice of perception. We can choose to view things from a negative perspective or we can claim our power back by choosing to look at it from another perspective. To choose to take responsibility for our own life experiences – what we have created, so far.
Authors like Louise Hay and Abraham-Hicks are good examples of advocates of these teachings. They encourage us to become conscious; to become aware of the thoughts we choose to think and to begin to make changes. As we choose to think positively, so we invite positive changes into our lives. The trick is, to stick with it. For those of you that have already tried using affirmations, such as those suggested by Louise Hay, you may have felt despondent as you tried but observed little changes in your own life. Even if at first the affirmations you have chosen to work with feel like a lie, it is important to stick with it. As you practise, every day, you will begin to feel a shift in how you feel. It may be that there is some resistance there for you that you have to work through or even a fear of change, even though that’s what you want so much.
As Louise Hay says ‘You Can Do It’!!

Have you seen the Pixar film ‘Monsters Inc.’? I hadn’t watched it in a long time and since it was on telly decided to watch it the other night – it’s always good to laugh When it finished I suddenly had one of those ‘eureka’ moments and realized the truth of the film. There is [...]

When you and your friends or workmates get together either socially or in the staff room, around the water cooler or wherever you do your talking – what do you talk about? What is the tone of the conversation? Is there laughing, appreciation and encouragement for one another? Or is it complaining, negative and focused [...]

Since my last post introduced the concept of sending Reiki from a distance I would like to develop this idea further by discussing that Reiki is not bound by the limitations of time and space.
