I thought it would be appropriate to write a little about a recent experience I had. I am lucky enough to own my own horse. He is a chestnut Arab gelding and will be 16 years old this year. We have already been through so much – emotional and physical, which has created a real bond between us – a very special relationship. A few weeks ago he was badly injured by another horse. He was in enormous pain and had a fractured skull and blood was coming out of his nose. I looked into his eye (the other was so swollen it was closed) and could see that he was desperately asking me for help. I told him everything would be ok.
The vet was called out and I quickly sent many texts out to all my Reiki friends asking for combined distant Reiki to be sent. Meanwhile I remained focused on my desired outcome and continued to ride another horse. This may seem odd but I personally believe that one must continue to focus on the desired outcome as opposed to focusing on how things actually are.
A few weeks later and he looks fantastic! He has put on weight and has alot of energy! He is very well.
I believe that horses are very spiritual animals and are experts at reading us humans and the energy which emanates from us. By also focusing on my own energy state, giving myself Reiki too daily and focusing on a positive outcome and finding reasons to feel good I think he felt that too.
I truly love my horse – my heart overflows with love and in those moments I know that I am truly aligned with source. Love heals. I believe that that is what Reiki is – pure love.
